A jubilated Chong Wei wheels one month old Kingston
IT was a double celebration for world No.1 Datuk Lee Chong Wei and wife Datin Wong Mew Choo, as their son Kingston Lee turned a month old today.
Kingston's full moon party, which was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, also coincides with Mother's Day and was witnessed by family members and close friends of the couple.
Chong Wei, who told the media that it was his wife who chose the name Kingston last month, was the star of the Malaysian team that won the US$1 million Axiata Cup just two days after Kingston's birth on April 14.
The nine-time Malaysia Open champion is also hoping that the birth of his son would bring more good fortune for him, as he targets to win the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships in Guangzhou, China from Aug 5 - 11.
Just couple of days back, Chong Wei took a swipe at the world governing body for offering defending champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Lin Dan of China the wild card for the World Championships.
We sure do hope that Kingston will bring more joy to the couple and even the Malaysian team as they prepare for the BWF Sudirman Cup from May 19 - 26.
And to you Datuk, may you finally get your hands on that elusive World Championships title!
