Press Statement by Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri G. Palanivel :
As advised by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, all schools in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor will be closed tomorrow (Monday). Palanivel said he will ask second education minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh to take the necessary action.
The haze situation was worsening as of 5pm and the schools have ordered to be closed as a precautionary measure since the bad air quality would affect the health of the students.
He advised parents to keep their children indoor and use face mask if they must go outside.
